Crosslinked film manufacturer - heat shrinkable packaging -3
Properties and uses of commonly used shrinkable thin films
At present, most of the shrinkage films are polyvinyl chloride, POF, crosslinked film and polypropylene, polyvinylidene chloride, polyester, polystyrene, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and chlorinated rubber.
(1) the shrink temperature of PVC shrink film is low and wide. The shrinkage temperature is 40~160 degrees, and the heating channel temperature is 100~160 degrees. The heat shrinkage is fast and the working performance is good. The package is transparent and beautiful after processing, and the sealing part is also very clean. The oxygen transmittance is lower than that of polyethylene and the moisture permeability is high, so it is more suitable for packing vegetables and fruits with much moisture. The drawback is that the impact strength is low, it is brittle at low temperature, and is not suitable for transport packaging. In addition, the sealing strength is poor. When it is heated, it will decompose and produce odour. When the plasticizer changes, the film will break easily and lose its luster. At present, PVC film is mainly used for packaging groceries, food, toys, fruits and textiles.
(2) polyethylene is characterized by high impact strength, low price, strong sealing, and more for transport packaging. The gloss and transparency of polyethylene are worse than that of PVC. In operation, the shrinkage temperature is about 20~30 degrees higher than that of PVC. Therefore, a cooling device should be installed in the back section of the heat shrinkable channel.
(3) polypropylene has the advantages of transparency and gloss. It is the same as cellophane paper. It has good oil resistance and moisture resistance and strong contraction tension. The disadvantages are poor heat sealing, low sealing strength, high shrinkage temperature and narrow range. The representative uses are multi tape packaging such as recording tapes and records.
(4) other thin film polystyrene is mainly used for letter packaging, and polyvinylidene chloride is mainly used for meat packaging. The recent emergence of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer shrinkage film, high impact strength, high transparency, low softening point, high melting temperature, good heat sealing performance, small contraction tension, not easy to break the packaging products, suitable for the packaging of articles with protruding parts or special-shaped goods, is expected to have a greater development in the future.
(5) cross linked POF crosslinking film is the most perfect heat shrinkable film in POF heat shrinkable film. He can solve all the difficult problems in packaging, mainly the higher shrinkage rate of the crosslinked film, more solid seal and more durable seal. The temperature range of contraction is wider, and the excellent properties of crosslinked membrane can be adapted to any packaging machinery. It is the most ideal packaging material.
